The Clark County Fire Department acknowledged its response to a vehicle fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning. A Tesla Cybertruck ignited Wednesday morning near the entrance of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, resulting in one fatality and other injuries, as reported by local authorities.
The Clark County Fire Department verified its response to a vehicle fire in the valet section of the Trump International Hotel at around 8:40 a.m. local time.
During a press conference, Clark County Fire Department Deputy Chief Thomas Touchstone stated that

As first responders were extinguishing the fire, they simultaneously recognized the presence of numerous injured individuals beside the vehicle. Touchstone reported that seven individuals had injuries, two of whom were evacuated to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas.

Touchstone said that authorities are endeavoring to retrieve the body from the Cybertruck. Authorities requested that the public refrain from approaching the area for the time being.

The initial cause of the fire was not readily clear.

Videos circulating online depict sirens audible within the lobby of the Trump International Hotel, while a vehicle just outside the entrance is observed ablaze. An individual on social media reported being near the front entrance when the car detonated, necessitating the abandonment of their belongings at the entryway.
