12:00 AM: India launches “Operation Sindoor,” a series of missile strikes which India claims to targeting militant infrastructure in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Pakistan’s Punjab province. The operation reportedly targets six locations in Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh, Sialkot and Muzaffarabad. while Pakistan claims these strikes hit civilian areas, including mosques, resulting in number of casualties and injuries.
Early Morning: Pakistan’s military responds swiftly, and downing Indian jets and engaging in heavy firing and shelling along the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
Morning: Pakistan’s state media reports Pakistan’s military have shot down five Indian jets which includes three Rafael Jets, one MiG-29 and one SU plane, in response to the India’s midnight missile strikes. The Pakistan Air Force confirmed the downing of the Indian jets, while all Pakistani Air Force aircraft remain safe, according to PTV News.


This type of fuel tank is used by Indian Air Force’s Mirage-2000 and Rafale fighter jets.
Current Situation: The situation remains volatile, with both sides engaged in heightened military activity and diplomatic tensions. The airspace was closed for 48 hours, and all flights were cancelled in Karachi and Lahore.

Pakistan: 26 civilians killed, including at least two children, and 46 injured in Indian strikes.
India: 8 civilians killed, 47 injured due to Pakistani artillery fire.
